Email our teamDe Toren The Black Lion: from Stellenbosch, South Africa, a bold yet refined Bordeaux-style red blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot, opening with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and ripe plum layered with cedar, graphite and subtle spice, the palate is structured and confident with firm but polished tannins, balanced oak, savoury depth and a long, composed finish, alcohol content around 14.5 % ABV, contains sulphites. A mere 1000 – 1300 individually numbered bottles produced.
Food pairings: Pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye steak, slow roasted lamb, beef short ribs, rich tomato-based dishes or a classic selection of aged hard cheeses.
