Email our teamMitre’s Edge The Mitre: from the Simonsberg-Paarl region of South Africa, a bold yet well mannered Bordeaux-style red blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in support, opening with dark plum, blackcurrant and cherry aromas, followed by hints of cedar, spice and a touch of earthiness, the palate is firm and structured with smooth tannins, balanced oak and a long, steady finish, alcohol content around 14 % ABV, contains sulphites.
Food pairings: Works beautifully with grilled steak, slow roasted lamb, beef stews, rich mushroom dishes or a classic cheese board with aged hard cheeses.
