Email our teamPaul Wallace Off The Record Syrah: from the Ceres Plateau in the Swartland region of South Africa, the third vintage of this Syrah is produced from a small parcel of Shiraz grapes planted in fertile Bokkeveld shale soils at 1000 meters above sea level, a rare vineyard even snow-covered in winter, offering aromas of blackberry, dark plum, pepper spice, violets and subtle earthiness, the palate is medium- to full-bodied with juicy dark fruit, well-integrated spice, smooth tannins and a refined, lingering finish, alcohol content around 14 % ABV, contains sulphites.
Food pairings: Pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roasted beef, barbecued meats, hearty stews, or dishes with roasted mushrooms and herbs.
